Taittinger Brut Vintage 1995
en Magnum. 70% grand cru. Avize, Oger, Mesnil sur Oger, Trepail, Villers Marmery, Mailly, Ambonnay, Ay, Rilly la Montagne, Epernay. Elegant lemon gold. Fresh chardonnay driven nose. Good crisp palate. Great acidity. Biscuit. Surprisingly fresh but with nice tertiary notes of biscuit, sweet and mushrooms. Great balance across the front to mid palate. Great texture. Slightly lost on the finish but I’m being unfair! Creamy and seductive but on return from the older wine in the vertical it lacks length.
