Chapuy
Family production of 8 hectares mainly in Oger with some Pinot Noir and Meunier in the Coteux sud d’Epernay, the villages running due south of Epernay. Commercial production started back in 1952 and now since 2008 both the vineyards and the vinification processes are being managed by Aurore.
Vintage wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation.
Brut Tradition is simple, light and fruity.
Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs is 100% Oger. Very elegant, with a playful apple note
L’Esprit de Chapuy Mineral Extra Brut. Much more serious palate but not quite enough structure to back it up.
L’Esprit de Chapuy Rose. Very light pink. Delicate strawberry notes. A surprisingly dry experience given the 10g/ltr!
All wines show an elegant but simple style.
