Jean-Jacques Lamoureux

An interesting producer from Les Riceys under the hands of Vivien Lamoureux with well balanced, powerful wines. They linger nicely on the palate with apricot and white pepper notes.

His Florine (50/50 Pinot Noir/Chardonnay) is superbly balanced and opens up to give beautiful layers of fruit. The Trilogie is an epic wine. Bold, concentrated with huge oak notes and a creamy mousse. The wine is constructed using the three grapes each from a single vineyard. Chardonnay from Alexandre (the highest plot in Les Riceys at 310 meters), Pinot Noir from Valigne (55 year old vines), Meunier from Dodelot (Monopole from the family Lamoureux). It stays in barrel for 12 months and four years in bottle.
