Michel Rocourt
Created by Michel Rocourt, former chef de cave at Champagne Henriot, in the 1970s. This Champagne house is now run by Florence Rocourt and Damien Grzeszczak with vineyards in Mesnil sur Oger, Vertus and Villeneuve. There is good age on the vines, at least 35 years old and upwards of 50 years old in Mesnil. The wines are always approachable and fun with crisp, grassy notes but lack precision especially on the mid palate and their vintage wines although very drinkable on release tend to age speedily.
