Light, fruit style. Good chardonnay from Oger. Tight acidic green notes.
Hidden nose. Very hidden wine. Needs harder red fruit.
Much more controlled grip on the front palate. Much brighter and harder apple notes. Good finish. Smokey, fishy notes, stoney, oyster shell.
Slightly flabby apple nose. Vanilla notes but no oak. Great grassy apple notes.
Brighter green apple grip. Good intensity and finish.
There is a split on the palate between the pinot noir and the chardonnay. The red fruit really lingers on the end.
Lovely faint salmon pink. Feminine front end with a serious red fruit and crisp apple attack at the finish. Lovely complexity on the mid-late palate.
More fleshy on the nose. Good structure with a touch of toastiness. Dry toast. Tight notes of Granny Smith apples. Mousse a bit cumbersome. Good steely finish with grassy notes.
Nice fleshy apple notes. Touch of oxidation, lean palate. Very dry. There is a saltiness to the end palate.
Producer in Mesnil sur Oger with vineyards in all the great villages of the Cote des Blancs. The wines are fresh and fruity although I sensed a hint of oxidation on my last tasting of Cuvee d’Or. The rest of the production has a green stalkyness to them.
There is nothing outwardly exiting about these wines and I must admit I feel I want a touch more given the address…
