Light orange pink. Blackcurrant and plenty of copper and slate notes. Reminiscent of Ecueil and Villers aux Noeuds. Very drinkable.
At China White with Ruth. It was overpriced and that’s about it!
Lovely rose flower flavours. Great length.
Bitter, rich toasty notes.
Lovely deep pee gold. Dark oxidative notes on the initial nose. Rich and buttery but with a slightly bitter tinge. Plenty of tiny bubbles. The second glass lifts up and brings a wonderful fresh zesty mid-palate which then explodes with another while in the glass. Beautiful bottle. Wow!
Lovely dark burnt amber. Rich powerful nose. Violets, blackcurrant and spice. Banana notes. Almost spicy, peppery nose Gaining complexity and body to the mid palate with air.
Bottle number 8189. Buttered toast. Almost a touch of marmite. Doesn’t quite have the depth across the mid-late palate. Caramel notes. I desperately want more in the mid-palate. Arghhh. Sad.
