Henriot Rose Millesime 1988

Surprisingly fresh colour. Lovely stewed nose with notes of blackcurrant. Very soft entrance and a creamy wave but a real punch to the mid to late. Nice oyster shell notes. The mid to late has taken a while to open but pow what a punch. Dark and toasty on the nose after 20 minutes. So much blackcurrant. Some lovely mushrooms and butter notes. I really love the structure to the mid to late. Dark chocolate. This finish has become really seductive…a touch of sweet oak cakes. I love the weight to the mid palate.
