Fascinating stewed apple nose. Nougat. Having tried a number of vintages I can safely say that slightly off vintages do not age well! Bruised. Falling foul but still with enough acidity to hold it together. Flabby but enjoyable with a fair hit of acidity that actually balances itself nicely. Caster sugar. Black treacle, raisins, papaya, lychée.
