Founded in 1825 by Jean-Louis Prieur and named after the owners sons, Charles and Alphrède. Based in the village of Vertus, where their Chardonnay grapes come from, the brand has been reinvented as of 2005 and produces a fruity, simple style of wine from grapes throughout the region.
